Policies and Fees

Congratulations on your wedding, and thank you for your interest in my wedding officiant services.

Coverage area: I am licensed to officiate weddings in the State of Louisiana. I am willing to travel within the Greater New Orleans area. Requests for a wedding outside of the Greater New Orleans area will be considered on a case by case basis.

Fees: Please contact me for a custom quote based on your needs.

If the wedding and/or rehearsal is in the French Quarter or Downtown/CBD (70116 or 70130 area codes) there is an additional travel/parking fee for each event.

If the wedding and/or rehearsal is outside of Jefferson or Orleans Parishes, a travel fee will apply. Please contact for a quote, based on location.

If the marriage license is not brought to the ceremony, additional hourly fees will be charged while license is retrieved, or to meet on a separate day for signing (based on officiant’s availability). The wedding date will be recorded as the day the marriage license is signed.

Rehearsals: The wedding coordinator at the venue is responsible for conducting the rehearsal so that the wedding party will know how to line up and when to walk. Since the ceremony is scripted, it’s not usually necessary for the officiant to attend. If you need guidance on the processional or other planning details, or if your venue does not provide a wedding coordinator, I will be happy to refer you to local event planners. If you would like me to attend and participate as the Minister, an additional fee will apply and depends on my availability.

Payment: If the wedding is more than 3 months in advance, a $50 deposit is required. Balance due two weeks before the ceremony. If the wedding is booked less than two weeks in advance, payment in full is due at the time of booking.

Balance Due Dates:

If paying by:

Check: Checks are accepted if received 30 days before the ceremony. Please inquire for mailing address.

Credit Card: If you would like to pay by credit card, let me know and I will send you an invoice where you can pay online. If paying by credit card, payment must be received two weeks before the ceremony.

Cash: If paying by cash, arrangements can be made to pay in person at least two weeks before the ceremony.

If payment in full is not received at least two weeks before the ceremony, the date will be considered “released.”

Marriage License: The couple is responsible for obtaining a Louisiana Marriage License within 30 days before the ceremony. There is a 24-hour waiting period before the ceremony can take place. The 24-hour waiting period may be waived for out-of-state couples.

After the ceremony, I will return your license to the appropriate office. The license will be recorded, and then you will receive a certified copy of your marriage certificate in the mail within four to six weeks.

Please contact the LA Vital Records office or a Parish Clerk of Court office for more information.
