After securing a date with me, the next steps will be as follows:
• An invoice will be generated to confirm the requested services.
• If the wedding is more than one month in advance, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date for you.
• If the wedding is booked less than one month in advance, payment in full is due at the time of booking.
• I will write a draft of your ceremony and submit to you for review. If you have any changes, final edits must be made 7 days before the ceremony.
• Obtain your marriage license, no more than thirty days before the ceremony (but no less than 24 hours if you are local).
• Settle any outstanding payments two weeks before the ceremony.
• THE BIG DAY! When I arrive at the ceremony, please arrange to have someone give me the entire marriage license packet (1 or 2 copies of license, souvenir certificate, return envelope, instructions).
• Immediately following the ceremony, the couple and their two witnesses will step to the side and sign all copies of the license and souvenir certificate. (Some couples prefer to do the signing as PART of the ceremony. I’ll be glad to accommodate that upon request!)
• After the ceremony, I will return your license to the appropriate office. The license will be recorded, and then you will receive a certified copy of your marriage certificate in the mail within four to six weeks.
• If you are happy with my services, I would greatly appreciate a review! A link will be sent after the wedding.
